The WXCI message board has been changed to a new forum host.  According to a reliable source, the host of our old forum (Bravenet) is incredibly unreliable, untrustworthy and could cause problems in the future.  So our message board has been moved to a new, and much better host (informe.com).  There are more features to this new board, and along with that, looks much better.  The only issue for the new forum is that you have to sign up in order to post messages.  But don't worry -- it's totally free, and signing up takes less than a minute!  So check out the new message board and enjoy!  Posted 2/13/08

WXCI has some exciting news for everyone!  We officially have dates and a lineup for our spring show, called the Not Brooklyn Fest, happening at the Heirloom Arts Theatre in April -- you can get all the information on the Not Brooklyn Fest page.  Posted 2/6/08

Please be aware that due to the changing schedules of WXCI DJs and personnel for winter break, some WXCI shows may not air as regularly scheduled.  The On-Air Schedule is always subject to change between semesters.  The On-Air Schedule grid will be updated when the spring semester begins at the end of January.  Posted 1/2/08

Join us for the WXCI 91.7 Dance Party with DJ Chinaman and DJ Naked Brunch - spinning reggae, reggaeton, hip hop, electro and indietronica.  Happening at 10pm on December 20, 2007, at the City Ale House - 253 Main Street, Danbury, CT.  Posted 12/12/07

WXCI 91.7 Thursday Night Musical Showcase presents: C U Next Tuesday hosted by The City Ale House on Thursday, December 13, 2007.  Doors open at 9:00pm and the band performs at 10:00pm.  The City Ale House is located at 253 Main Street, Danbury, CT.  The show is for ages 21+ only. 

WXCI presents Morningside and Chris Kiley at the City Ale House.  The show will be happening Thursday, December 6, 2007.  Morningside will be performing from about 9:45pm to 10:30pm, and Chris Kiley will be performing from about 10:30pm to 11:30pm. 

Updates have been made to the On-Air Schedule grid.  Check it out!

There will be a major rival hockey game happening on December 7, 2007 at the Danbury Ice Arena between the Western Connecticut State University Colonials and Central Connecticut State University Blue Devils.  Guest starring at the game will be Forget Paris and WXCI.  Free admission to the game.  Be there at 6:30pm to see Forget Paris and at 7:00pm for the hockey game

WXCI's own Andrew Arriaga (from "Not In My Backyard" - Fridays 5-8pm) will be performing his senior recital on December 3, 2007.  It will include works by Bach, Bolling, Schubert, Tarrega and Lauro.  Also featured are Meagan Lee Johnson, Darren Litzie, Dillon Goodson and Ryan Dunne.  The recital will be at 8:00pm at the Ives Concert Hall on the Midtown Campus of WCSU.

Welcome to WXCI's new website!  The site is going to go up little by little -- we will be adding more features and goodies as time goes by.  We hope to have a live internet streaming broadcast working soon, so you can listen to WXCI anywhere and anytime you're at a computer.  So keep checking back for updates and news!
