FIRST AMENDMENT

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The Echo is produced solely by students of Western Connecticut State University. All copy is written and edited by a student staff. No censorship from faculty or administration is exerted on any material printed in The Echo.

  The Echo is funded by the Student Government Association (SGA). Letters to the Editor must include writers full name and phone number only for verification purposes. The Echo will not print anonymous letters. Letters may be edited for length, they must be typed, fewer than 500 words, and submitted to The Echo electronically via email to wcsuecho@gmail.com as a Word attachment.

 The opinions expressed in letters to the editor and commentaries are those of an individual and not necessarily the opinion of the Editorial Board or staff of The Echo.

  The Echo must receive club ads and classifieds no later than Friday at 5:00 p.m. Ad information may be obtained by calling The Echo’s advertising department at (203) 837-8705, or emailing

echoadvertising@gmail.com.

   Announcements may be sent to the address below, or faxed to us at (203) 837-8709.

   Any reproduction of stories, photos, or artwork contained in these pages, or the use of The Echo’s name, or logo must be approved by the Editorial Board of The Echo, and appropriate bylines and credit lines must be used.

   Distribution is free on both campuses and throughout the Danbury community.
